The streets are full of well-armed police forces and there are different metro lines just for the augmented. The city of Prague, which is the main stage for the events of Mankind Divided, portrays this oppression well. It is a completely different image from Human Revolution, which showed the augmented to prosper. Due to the incident from the previous game, augmented humans are being oppressed and mistreated by society. Mankind Divided, which takes place two years after Human Revolution, shows a conflict between “natural” humans (ie, unmodified) and augmented humans. The plot of Mankind Divided is strongly supported at the end of Human Revolution, in which the modified people have temporarily become murderous lunatics, so the existence of a context is crucial. The video lasts 12 minutes and covers all the central points of the Human Revolution story.

This is useful both for new players, who get an idea of what happened before, and for fans, who may need to revive their memory. Before we start the story, the game asks us if we want to see a video that summarizes previous events. If you have never played Human Revolution, you need not be afraid to enter the world of Mankind Divided. Anyway, this limitation does not last forever, as Adam Jensen will eventually have access to all of his modifications. There are more appropriate augments for action, and therefore, if you prefer a stealth approach, these augments are practically useless and can be deactivated. While this may seem like an abused limiting factor, it is not. Some of these experimental augments are especially useful, however, to activate them you will need to disable other augments (otherwise Jensem’s body goes into overload). Adam Jensen, the character we control, is back and finds that he has experimental and highly powerful augments hidden in his body.

The mission was accomplished with Human Revolution, but can Mankind Divided manage to overcome it?įor the most part, Mankind Divided is a familiar experience, but the gameplay, when it comes to the fluidity of movements and possibilities of approaching situations, is better. Continuing the story established by Deus Ex: Human Revolution in 2011, which showed human society after the discovery of augments (improvements and mechanical members for the human body that increase its capabilities), Mankind Divided is the new delivery of Eidos Montreal, which after being founded in 2007, it was responsible for revitalizing the Deus Ex saga. If you’ve always dreamed of being a mechanically modified spy and unraveling conspiracy theories in a futuristic society, look no further, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the game for you. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is ideal for those who like stealth, conspiracies and exploration.

Better and more refined than Human Revolution.
